CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

Elizabeth lays on her side, sobbing uncontrollably. She was cold, hungry, she wanted to see Gram and have her hold her and tell her everything was going to be okay. That soon her and Lucky would be back home in Port Charles, or better yet, that this was just a nightmare and soon she’ll wake up in Nikolas’s cottage. But she knew that this wasn’t a dream. If it was she would have woken up by now, and the engines in the ship wouldn’t be so vivid. The only comforting thing was that Lucky was with her, laying beside her, stroking her hair. Trying to comfort her the best way he could.

"Don’t cry Elizabeth. We’ll be okay," His voice was shaky, like he knew that what he said wasn’t true. That there was no way they could be all right locked up on a ship with some psychopath.

"Is he going to kill us?" Elizabeth asked.

"No, no. Of course not. Not as long as we do as we’ll told," Lucky sighed, wishing that she was back in port Charles safe and sound. If it weren’t for him, she would be.

"But what’s to stop him?" She turns to Lucky, searching his eyes for the answers.

Lucky looks away from her. There was nothing to stop Faison from doing what he wanted to them. At least that was the good thing with Helena. She had tried her best to keep Faison in check, even though it never worked really. But Lucky believed that Helena was the only reason Faison hadn’t killed him. Faison was too afraid of her to go against her like that.

But now Helena wasn’t here. Faison was in charge and had made it clear already a number of times that he rather kill Lucky than look at him. And now that Elizabeth was here with him…there’s no telling what the bastard would do.

"I’m not going to let him hurt you Elizabeth," Lucky wraps his arms around her, pulling her closer. "I won’t let him even get near you. Okay?"

Elizabeth nods, knowing that Lucky was sincere. She turns back to face the wall and closes her eyes. "Lucky…will you sing to me? Our song?"

"Is that what you want?"

Elizabeth nods.

"Okay," Lucky sighs, snuggling closer to her, wanting to make her feel as safe as possible, even though neither of them were.

"As you go bed tonight, keep a little prayer for me in sight. Know that I will be there when you call. Know that I will catch you if you might fall. Elizabeth. Go to sleep. I want to watch you breathe. I want to feel God’s peace. All I want is this. Elizabeth."

Lucky looks closer at her and notices that she’s fallen asleep, a serene smile on her face for the first time they’ve been in this place. "Dreams of Gold," Lucky kisses her and gets off the bed and goes to his own. Glad that he was able to get her to sleep peacefully for once since this whole mess started.

Faison stares at the monitor and smiles happily. Things were better than expected. He now knew for sure what Lucky Spencer’s weakness was…Elizabeth. Now how can he use Lucky’s love for the girl against him? Bend it to his own will? Lucky’s love for Elizabeth was going to be the key ingredient to his revenge against Robert Scorpio. Robert wasn’t going to know what hit him.
