CHAPTER FIFTEEN

Lucky groans as he awakens. At first everything is in a haze, but soon his vision clears to see that he was in a room furnished with two beds, a table, a television and that was about it. There was no windows, no wallpaper, no pictures. He groans again, not being able to believe that it was happening to him again, and just when he thought that he was going to get his life back. He sighed as he thought of the people he left behind. Nikolas, his parents, Lulu…and Elizabeth. God they were going to be married! Why was life so unfair and especially to him? Why couldn’t he be happy for once?

"Lucky…" A small voice whimpered from the bed across from his. He looks up and sees a feminine shape move under the covers.

"Oh God please no," He whispered, dread building up in his chest as he sets up, staring at the figure.

"Lucky," The figure whimpered again, pulling the covers closer.

Lucky gets out of bed and walks over to the opposite bed, lightly touching the figure. He gasps in horror as he pulls the blankets back to reveal who it was.

"Elizabeth no!" Lucky cries out. "No!"

"Lucky?" Elizabeth bolts awake, not aware of where she’s at. At first she thinks she’s back in Nikolas’s cottage, but reality dawns on her and her memory returns. She remembers clearly coming upon those men carrying Lucky away and her own struggle with Faison’s men. "Lucky!" Elizabeth wails in despair, not yet realizing she wasn’t alone.

"Shhh Elizabeth I’m right here," Lucky takes her hand immediately "I’m right here," He takes her in his arms and holds her tightly. "It’s okay."

"I thought they had killed you," Elizabeth sobbed. "You were unconcious…and I couldn’t get away. They used some chemical…"

So that’s why she was here. She came upon his kidnapping in progress and of course Faison couldn’t let her go to tell his father what she saw. Damn, this wouldn’t be happening if he had just been open with her from the beginning. How stupid he was for stalking off by himself like that. Now Elizabeth was in danger and it was all because of him.

"It’s okay Elizabeth. At least they kept us together," Lucky sighed and looks around the room again. "And by the look of things, they’re planning to keep it that way."

"What does he want Lucky?" She pulls away from the hug. "He said that he had big plans for you. What are they?"

Lucky shrugs. "I don’t have a clue."

"I want to go home," Homesickness strikes her hard and she falls back against the bed, her eyes getting a far off gaze to them. "I want to go home."

Tears spring to Lucky’s eyes at this. He hadn’t seen her like this since the night of the rape. He gently strokes her cheek, comforting her the best way he could at the moment. "I’ll get you home Elizabeth. I promise. Somehow I’ll get us both home."

Elizabeth forces a smile, knowing that there may not be a way for him to keep that promise. But he was right about one thing, at least they were together.

"Well I see my young guests are awake," Faison enters the room, a evil grin on his face. "I do hope you enjoy the accommodations, even though I had to make some last minute additions."

"You bastard! Let us go," Lucky stands up and places himself in front of Elizabeth. There was no way he was letting this psycho anywhere near her.

"Why Mr. Spencer, is that anyway to thank your host? Are is it that you’re unhappy sharing a room? If so I have a empty room right down the hall that Miss. Webber will find quite comfortable."
"That won’t be necessary," Elizabeth grabs Lucky’s hand. "We just want to go home."
"Miss. Webber, this is home now. There’s no way I can allow either one of you to leave," Faison grins darkly. "And don’t bother escaping. We’re in shark infested waters so it’d be useless."

"We’re on a ship?" Elizabeth asked, trying her best to stay calm.

"For now. It’s a lot easier to stay hidden when you’re sailing out in the middle of nowhere," Faison grins. "But don’t worry. We have our own private doctor on board if you’re worried about seasickness."

"You won’t get away with this Faison. My father will find us and when he does you’re a dead man," Lucky growled angrily.

Faison laughed loud and hard about this. "Oh Mr. Spencer you are amusing. There is no way Luke will ever find us! You see this ship is not on any radar and it comes from my own funds that your father can’t possibly access! I’m not quite as sloppy as Helena when it comes to keeping records. So there’s no possible way for Luke to come to your rescue. Now I say set back and enjoy the ride. Who knows, if you two are good little prisoners, I’ll let you watch some videos."

"Go to hell," Lucky growled.

"Lucky," Elizabeth worriedly tightens her grip on his hand as she catches the malicious glare in Faison’s eyes.

"I’m already there Spencer, and may I remind you, so are you," Faison turns and leaves, locking the door behind him.

"Lucky…what are we going to do?" Elizabeth looks up at him, tears spilling from her eyes. "We’ll never see our family again!"

"Don’t say that Elizabeth. Of course we’ll see them again. We’ll think of a way out of here. I promise."

Elizabeth reaches out to him and clings to him with all her might. Burying her head in his chest, she hopes he’s right and will be able to keep that promise. But somehow she doesn’t think he can. They’ll be Cesar Faison’s prisoners forever.
