Laura sat at her desk sobbing uncontrollably when Carly entered, a portfolio tucked under her arm.

"Laura since Gia is missing in action, we have to find a new face of deception until she returns…hey what’s with you?"
"Have you read this morning paper about the house in Texas?" Laura looked up at her partner.

"Uh…yeah…so?"
"That was our house. The one Lucky was born in. I think Lucky and Nikolas, Gia and Elizabeth was staying there," Laura sobbed. "Meaning they’re dead!"

Carly rolled her eyes. It didn’t surprise her that Laura didn’t read all of the article. "Laura, if you read the rest of the article, you would have noticed that the house was empty. No one was killed. Your sons and their girlfriends are perfectly safe. Now about this face of deception thing," Carly opened up the portfolio, setting in the chair in front of Laura’s desk.

"Laura!" Luke barged into the office, determination written all over his face.

"Excuse you!" Carly whirled around. "We’re in the middle of a meeting here!"

"This is more important than the next shade of your lipstick Caroline," Luke glared at his niece before turning back to Laura. "I’m going in search of the kids. I have a feeling they’re getting in way over their heads. You want to come with me?"

Laura’s eyes widen in shock. "What happened to Felicia? I thought she was your new running partner. Or is she going to show up in the middle of no where again like she did when we went in search of Lucky?"

"Felicia’s setting this one out. Besides, she doesn’t know the ropes as well as you. Besides, the kids may need you."

"Laura just can’t run off! We have a business to run here!" Carly objected.

"Caroline, you are getting on my nerves."

"Luke this is crazy. We don’t even know where to start looking."

"Texas sweet heart. If I know the Cowboy, he used the same alias we used when we lived there. Plus, I made all the id’s they’d be using. We’ll just follow the trail from there."

"And what about Lulu? You’re not expecting to bring her along too?"
"Of course not. Bobbie said she’d be happy to watch Lulu. Come on Angel. What do you say?"
Laura sighed. She knew he would do this. Just when she was standing on her own two feet. She was in the mind to say no. But then she thought of the kids out in the world on their own, no one to turn to for help. She couldn’t leave them out there. "Ok. Fine. But give me a couple of days to get someone to fill in here for me and get Lulu together…"

"Ok. I understand. Call me when you’re ready to head out," Luke strolled out of the office.

"Laura! You can’t do this! I need you here! Who knows how long it’ll take to find Lucky!"

"That’s why I’m having someone fill in for me," Laura begins to sift through some paperwork.

"Laura…" Carly began to object again.

"Carly what if this was Micheal out there with a sociopath after him? Would you want him to be out there all alone or would you go after him just to keep him safe?" Laura looked at Carly.

Carly sighed in defeat. Laura knew just what to hit her with. "Ok. I understand. But I still think you’re being crazy."

"I’d be crazy not to go. Now back to what we were discussing…"

Lucky, Elizabeth, Nikolas, and Gia were in a department store looking through the baby section. It was Elizabeth’s idea to stop at a department store to baby shop on the way to their new destination.

"I say we’ll need plenty of those sleepershirts. Momma says that babies grow like weeds, especially in the first couple of months," Gia holds up a pack of sleep shirts.

"I say bottles are important," Elizabeth picked up a bottle kit. "I plan to breastfeed, but I know Lucky will want to take part."
"You can always give me diaper duty," Lucky laughed. "But then again, I think I’d like to take part in the midnight feedings."

"Oh no you don’t. You wanted it you got it. Diaper duty is yours," Elizabeth laughed.

"See Lucky, I always said you had a big mouth," Nikolas grinned at his brother.

"And just for that, diaper duty belongs to you too," Gia playfully slapped Nikolas’s shoulder.

"We’ll have servents for that dear," Nikolas smiled arrogantly.

"Well have those servents stop by our place to change our baby as well," Lucky crossed his arms. "Remember, brothers share."

"Men," Elizabeth rolled her eyes.

"Always trying to find a way to avoid their duty," Gia giggled.

Lucky sighed. "You know, I wish there was a way to let mom know about the babies. She’d be so thrilled."

"I know. But don’t worry. She’ll know soon enough nine months from now when we return to port charles so I can take control of my fortune and banish Helena to the outer regions," Nikolas wrapped a arm around Gia.

"So where did Em and Zander go?" Elizabeth asked. "I know they’re not waiting in the car all this time."

"Walking around," Lucky shrugged.

"I think Em feels sort of left out. I mean two of us are pregnant and she’s not…I worry about her," Elizabeth sighed.

"Don’t. Em is a strong person. Besides, it’s only a matter of time before she’ll have a bun in the oven herself," Nikolas comforted.

"I can’t wait to see the look of Psychogrannie’s face when she meets the little prince," Gia grinned

"Me either," Nikolas laughed. "She’s going to know it’s all over for her."
"I don’t know guys. I think it’s best if you keep as much distance between Helena and your baby as possible. I don’t have a good feeling about the two meeting," Lucky warned, remembering his dream.

"Oh Lucky you’re such a worry wart. The babies are going to be fine. We’ll even get your dad to watch them."
"Not a good idea. A baby Cassadine…the temptation would be too great for Luke."

"Oh come on. Dad’s a lot of things, but he would never harm a baby. Cassadine or not."

"I don’t know…I find it very hard to trust your father. But I’ll let it drop. Have we got what we need?"

"Bottles, sleepshirts, bath kits,…yeah. We have plenty. We can always get more," Elizabeth heads for the checkout.

"Come on boys let’s go."Elizabeth heads for the checkout counter.

Helena paced the deck of her yacht once again when Andreas came up with the information she requested. "So have the men accessed Luke Spencer’s private accounts?"
"Yes Madame."

"And?"
"The last purchase was with a mastercard and it was at a department store for baby supplies."

"Baby supplies? Now why would Luke want to buy baby supplies?"

"It was a big purchase madame. One would think that they were buying for two babies."

"Two…Andreas…Luke didn’t make that purchase. The children did. If my hunch is correct that means both Miss. Webber and Miss. Campbell are expecting. This puts a big crimp in my plans, especially where Miss. Campbell is concerned. If that baby lives…I’ll be ruined. It’s imperative that we find them as soon as possible. Where was this purchase made Andreas?"

"Just outside of Texas. At the baby Gap in Solicary Mall."

"Double the manpower on this search. I can not allow that baby to live," Helena growled.

*

"Yes. Thank-you. And if anyone else calls about my account let me know," Luke hangs up the phone and frowned.

It’s been two days since he and Laura had begun their search. Luke was surprised when he called the credit card company to find out there was a purchase for baby supplies, plus a man called pretending to be him. He knew for a fact it wasn’t Lucky. There was only one person that could be and he was determined to find his son before she did.

"Luke? What’s going on?" Laura notes how Luke’s face drained of color.

"A couple of things. Set down Angel. This is going to be a shock for you."

"What is it? Is it Lucky? Is he sick?"
"No. He’s expecting a baby," Luke swallowed. "I think."

"WHAT!"

"There was a purchase for tons of baby supplies. Enough for two babies. So there’s a good chance that the prince has a little Cassadine in the oven as well unless Em…nah! It’s the prince too."

"Luke…what are you saying. You’re confusing me."

"Now listen, I’m not for sure. I mean they could have purchased this stuff for anything. But there’s a chance that both Elizabeth and Gia are expecting, meaning you’re going to be a grandmama. But like I said, I’m not sure."

"Oh Luke! If that’s true…how wonderful!"

"Wonderful yet it ups the ante. When Nikolas has a kid, that means he comes into his fortune right?"
Laura nods. "Which means that he can get rid of Helena forever."

"Helena’s not going to let that happen Angel."

"But Helena doesn’t know where they are," Laura looks at her husband.

"Well…I just found out that someone had accessed my account. It wasn’t Lucky and it wasn’t us. There’s only one other person…Helena. She probably suspects about the baby darling, meaning she’s going after them herself. Meaning our children and grandchildren are in even greater danger. Helena knows that Lucky’s a Spencer and all the tricks of the Spencer trade sort of speak. It won’t be easy to shake her."

"Luke we have to find them before she does. We have to tell them to get rid of that card…"

"I know darling. We’ll start at that mall in Texas and follow the trail from there. I told the credit card company to call me each time there’s a purchase and me only. No one else. Not even if they call."

Laura nods. "That will keep Helena off their trail for a little while at least. Oh Luke…I’m so scared for them."

Luke pulled Laura into his arms and rubbed her back. "I know Angel. But we’ll find them and face off with Helena ourselves if we have to. Trust me angel. Our family will be safe."

Their minds and determination stuck on the safety of their children and grandchildren, Luke and Laura begin to pack.
