“Here
we are,” Laura pushed open the door to the cabin where the girls and herself
would be staying until they heard from Luke.
Laura looked around, remembering the last time she had been there. Luke had kidnapped Lucky so they could work
out their problems. But instead of
getting Lucky to see things his way, Luke had ended up with an injured leg from
getting caught in a wolf trap. She had
to beg Stefan to help her find them and with Lucky’s help, they had gotten Luke
to GH.
“So this is our home away from home,”
Gia sighed, taking a good look at her surroundings. “Not exactly five star is it?”
“Just as long as it keeps us safe from
Helena, I’ll be happy, Elizabeth was right behind her. “I just wish Lucky was here.”
“Don’t worry Elizabeth. You’ll be with Lucky soon. This is all temporary.” Laura smiled at the
younger woman. “I wonder if Zander’s
ok,” Emily bit her lip. “Sorel has so
many connections…”
“I’m sure he’s fine. Come.
Let’s get settled in,” Laura smiled, unaware of the danger lurking
outside the door.

McGyver
had worked for Helena Cassadine for two years now, keeping a eye on and
following her enemies around. It wasn’t
a job he liked very much. The old woman
gave him the creeps, plus the job was pretty boring. But it paid the b ills and then some. He knew for a fact that he wouldn’t be able to get a nine to five
job that paid this well.
The job he was on this time was to
find and tail Laura Spencer and her companions. Once he nailed down their location, he was to inform Helena and
she would give him further instructions.
He peered in at the women and wondered what they had done to invoke the
boss lady’s anger. He honestly felt bad
for them. They seemed like good people.
Shaking the traitorous thoughts out of
his head, he whipped out his cell phone and dialed Helena’s number.
She answered after only one ring. “Have you found them yet?”
“Yes I have Madam. They’re staying in this run down cabin in
the middle of nowhere,” he quickly answered.
“What do you want me to do?”
“Call the DiRanni brothers and
Razor. The four of you are to bring the
women to me at my perfume warehouse.
I’ll take care of everything here.”
“Yes madam.”
“And McGyver, no mistakes. I do not have time to fix things this time.”
He winced. He knew she wouldn’t forget about the botched job in Italy. “Yes Madam.”
“Good. I’ll be expecting your arrival soon,” Helena hung up.
“Sorry girls,” McGyver peered through
the window. “Boss’s orders.”

It
was a quiet evening. The kind of
evening where you just want to set and read.
Elizabeth looked out at the star-filled sky, wishing that Lucky was
there to look up at the stars with her.
Gia was upstairs, studying her yet to swell figure, while Emily and
Laura read a book.
None of them were aware of the danger
they were in until it was too late.
Helena’s men busted into the cabin, one intent on their minds. Bring all the women to Helena unharmed. Elizabeth was the first to be grabbed and
then there was Gia. Once the two girls
were secured, the men nabbed Laura and Emily with little struggle. Once all four women were subdued, the men
knew what to do next and quickly. Their
employer detested tardiness.

Back
in Port Charles, Luke, Lucky, Zander, and Nikolas were gathered around the
kitchen table going over plan after plan to go after Helena.
“We have to take her by surprise. That is a must,” Luke tiredly rubbed his
face. “I know it won’t be easy, but we
can do it.”
“Dad…have you heard from mom
yet?” Lucky asked, suddenly worried about Elizabeth. He had a knowing feeling in the pit of his stomach that something
was wrong. That somehow the plan to
keep the girls safe had failed.
Just then the shrill ring of Luke’s
cell phone disturbed the quiet planning session. Luke grabbed the cell phone irritably.
“Claude, if I told you once, I’ve told
you a thousand…” Luke growled, but was cut off by a all too familiar evil
laugh. A laugh that did not belong to
his faithful bartender. “Helena.”
“Oh Luke, such fun. I can never fool you for long.”
“What do you want?” Luke was
suspicious.
“Oh Luke, it’s not what I want,”
Helena crooned. “It’s who I have.”
“What?” Luke’s eyes narrowed. What was mama bat up to now?
“Luke!” Laura’s desperate voice called
out, full of fear and desperation.
His face faded to ten shades of
pale. “Laura.”
“That’s right my dear. I have her and the girls too. All are quite uncomfortable, but alive. If you want to keep them that way, bring your
son and my grandson to me. You know
where I am, you always trace your calls,” Helena laughed before hanging up.
“Dad?” the knowing feeling of danger
grew more intense for Lucky. Something
had gone wrong. He knew it.
“She has Laura and the girls. She wants me to bring you and the Prince to
her.”
“Or she hurts them. Right?” Nikolas stood from his seat.
“That’s
it. I’ve had enough of these
games! Helena’s a dead woman,” Luke
growled, heading for the tracing device he had hooked to his computer. “Let’s see…of course! That abandoned warehouse right outside of
town.”
“Well what are we waiting for? Let’s go get them,” Nikolas’s eyes narrowed
with hatred for his grandmother. She
had gone too far this time! If she even made a move against Gia and their
unborn child…there was no telling what he would do to her!
“You boys are staying here,” Luke
sternly replied.
“What? How can you expect us to just set here doing nothing while the
women we love are in danger?” Zander asked.
“Plus she’ll hurt them if we don’t
come. We have no choice here dad.”
“Lucky, are you forgetting that she’s
done something to your mind? Something
that we don’t know about yet? Something
she’s planning to unleash tonight I bet.”
“Dad…I have to take that
chance. I can’t risk Elizabeth and our
baby. I just can’t. I’m going whether you like it or not.”
“Same here,” Nikolas stepped next to
his brother.
“Don’t leave me out. She has Liz and Gia . Most likely she has Em too,” Zander stood
beside his friends.
“By the look on your faces I can tell
there’s no arguing. Let me get Sonny
down here and we can get a plan together,” Luke once again dialed Sonny’s
number.
