Two days
later
Lucky and
Liz stood at the airport searching the crowd for any sign of Elizabeth’s
sister.
"Where
is she?" Liz grumbled.
"She’ll
be here any minute," Lucky wrapped a arm around his wife’s shoulder.
"Remember. Be nice."
Elizabeth
just rolled her eyes and continued looking. Finally they spot Sarah coming out
of gate 12.
"Sarah!"
Lucky waved, noticing that Elizabeth had no intentions of catching her sister’s
attention.
"Lucky!"
Sarah ran through the crowd, throwing her arms around her brother in law’s
neck. "It’s been too long since I’ve seen you. You look great."
"So do
you," Lucky took a long look at his sister in law, noticing that her hair
got blonder and her legs seemed to have gotten longer under the short skirt she
was wearing.
"Lizzie.
You look great too. I love your hair. Did you dye it?"
"I cut
it," Was Elizabeth’s flat reply.
"Oh.
Well I like it," Sarah smiled. "I am so tired. Jet lag I guess. I
can’t wait to snuggle down into a nice warm bed and sleep for a week."
Elizabeth
couldn’t help but roll her eyes. "Well we have a nice bed waiting for you
at the house. Let’s go."
"Have
anyone of you been in touch with Nikolas?" Sarah suddenly asked. "The
last time I saw him was at your wedding. I must say it blew me away that he was
your best man."
"We
buried the hatchet a long time ago," Lucky smiled.
"Oh I
bet. I remember how you two fought over me. I hated it, but I must admit that I
was kind of flattered by it too."
"Well
Sarah that’s the past and it’s best kept there," Elizabeth cut in.
"Lucky and Nikolas are best friends now. You were just a small obstacle in
their way of becoming brothers."
"Sarah
you’re going to love the room we’ve made up for you," Lucky quickly
changed the subject. "Elizabeth designed it. She is so talented…she has great
taste in fabics and stuff like that."
"Oh I’m sure she does. Lizzie always had potential. She just needs to put
it to good use."
"I have
been Sarah. I’m working for a major advertising company now."
"Oh so
you quit that feeble job at Kelly’s?"
Elizabeth’s
face grew red with anger. "No. I have not quit Kelly’s."
"You
know it’s too bad that you let that Gia girl get that face of deception gig
away from you Lizzie. Modeling pays so much money…of course I modeled in London
and it paid for my collage eduation. But then again, it’s just as well. Your
looks are a little to…plain to be a full fledged model."
"I
didn’t want to be a model Sarah. It wasn’t my thing and never will be. Of
course you were a model in London because god knows you wouldn’t be able to make
it over here," Elizabeth’s anger boiled over. "Blond hair and blue
eyes aren’t the thing in this country anymore."
"Lucky
wouldn’t agree with you would you Lucky?" Sarah crooned.
"Leave
him out of this!" Elizabeth snapped.
"Hey
calm down you two," Lucky took Elizabeth’s hand while he drove.
"What’s
your deal Lizzie?" Sarah crossed her arms.
"Listen
Sarah it’s not a good idea to start arguments right now. Elizabeth just found
out that Tom Baker was let out of jail plus Helena Cassadine is back in town and
we’re all on edge. So just cool it ok?" Lucky sternly replied. "Now
either you two can have a nice normal conversation or don’t talk at all."
"Why
aren’t we testy," Sarah yawned, wondering if coming back to Port Charles
was a good idea. Looking at how her sister clung to her husband made up her
mind. All this time Sarah had no one while Lizzie had someone and it just
wasn’t fair. She had come back to correct the situation and she would. Her benefactress
promised that things would be back to the way they should be. Her with the
perfect life and her sister left out in the cold. With no one.

"What’s
with all the men following us?" Sarah asked as Lucky led the way up to the
house.
"Sonny’s
bodyguards. With Tom Baker out on the loose, we’re not taking any
chances," Lucky answered.
"Oh. I
see," Sarah nodded then remembered what she was supposed to do before even
stepping foot into the Spencer house. "Oh no! I have to go! I have a
meeting!"
"But
you just got here," Elizabeth looked at her sister.
"I
know, but this meeting was set up two days ago and when they heard I was coming
to Port Charles they insisted I meet with them the minutte I landed. I’m sorry
you guys."
"Well
come on. I’ll drive you," Lucky started for the car but Sarah grabbed his
arm.
"That’s
ok Lucky. I can walk. It’ll help me get reacquainted with the town."
"Are
you sure? You seemed so tired at the airport…"
"I’m
positive. Now I’ll see you two in a few. Don’t eat dinner without me!" With
that said, Sarah took off and ran right into Gia.
"Hey
watch it!" Gia snapped, already tired and in a livid mood.
"You
watch it," Sarah glared back before continuing on her way.
"Who
was that?" Gia approached her friends.
"Gia
congratulations you just had the pleasure of bumping into my oh so sweet sister
Sarah," Elizabeth snorted before disappearing into the house.
"What’s
wrong with her?" Gia asked.
"She’s
just feeling inferior to her sister once again. Just ignore it," Lucky
shrugged. "So Gia what brings you by?"
"Your mother. She wants me to invite you and Liz to the Deception Gala
tomorrow night. You will be there right? Nikolas wants you two to be
there."
"Why?"
"Because
Luke will be there and it’s a fact that Luke makes a point not to even look at
Nikolas cross-eyed when you’re there."
Lucky
sighed. Parties weren’t really his thing, but if Nikolas felt that his presence
was needed he’d be there. "Ok. Fine. I’ll come. Let me tell Liz so she can
find something to wear. I know how important that is to you women."
Gia just
smiled before continuing on her way, unaware of the shadow behind a couple of
trees following her.

Helena’s
Yacht
Helena paced
the deck of her yacht, impatiently waiting for the arrival of her new employee.
Tardiness wasn’t something she condoned and if her new friend wanted to keep
this job she better learn punctuality. Finally her guest arrived and she glared
angrily. "Where have you been? I said as soon as you came to Port Charles
I wanted to see you."
"I’m
sorry Mrs. Cassadine. I got held up. My sister and her husband picked me up and
when I reached their house I remembered."
"They
don’t suspect that you’re working for me do they?"
"No. Of
course not. In fact, I never even mentioned I found a new job."
"Good. Now Miss. Webber, I will explain your purpose here in Port Charles
and your reward."
Sarah’s blue
eyes widened at the mention of a reward.
"What
reward is that?"
Helena
smiled. "Normally I don’t indulge such information. But seeing that this
is a delicate job for you, I will give you proper incentive. You are still in
love with my grandson aren’t you?"
Sarah nodded, not sure where the conversation was going.
"More
than ever. What does Nikolas have to do with this?"
"You
help me destroy the Spencers and you will have my grandson again. And this time
he won’t dump you. What do you think about that?"
Sarah’s eyes
grew even bigger. "What do I think about that? Why I love it. But isn’t he
dating that model?"
"You mean that Gia girl? He is right now, but I can take care of that
little problem. You worry about playing your part in my plans and I’ll worry
about getting Gia out of Nikolas’s life."
"It’s a
deal," Sarah smiled brightly, her day looking brighter than it had before.
She knew taking this job was a good idea. Once she got Lizzie out of the way
she was going to have everything she ever wanted.
