The next day, Elizabeth woke up to Lucky singing in the shower. It was obvious he was in a good mood, looking forward to a new day.

"Lucky!" Elizabeth got up out of bed and entered the restroom, and smiled at her husband’s form behind the curtain.

"Hey sweetie! You’re up! I’ll be out in a minute then you can get ready for your date with Alexis and Zander," Lucky called over the roaring water.

"So you’re letting Zander have the day off?" Elizabeth asked

"Of course. He’s your brother and I’m glad that you’re getting to know both him and Alexis better. I wouldn’t stand in the way of that," Lucky stepped out of the shower, bringing a seductive smile to Elizabeth’s lips.

"You sure can fool me," Elizabeth slid into her husband’s arms. "Looking like this, you’re making it very hard not to call Alexis and tell her I’ll be busy for the rest of the day."

Lucky just laughed and kissed her nose. "Well you can’t call. You have to get to know her sometime and there’s no better time than the present."

"You’re right," Elizabeth pulled away. "Go get dressed and let me shower before I change my mind Mr. Spencer."
"Yes mam Mrs. Spencer," Lucky grinned kissing her one more time before leaving her to her thoughts.

"Lucky lucky lucky," Elizabeth sighed happily turning on the water. Despite what she told her husband, she looked forward to spending the day with Alexis and Zander. She just hoped everything thing came off spectacularly.

Zander was at Kelly’s awaiting the arrival of his mother and sister. He couldn’t help being a little nervous. Even though he’s spent a lot of time with Alexis, he had never thought of her as a mother. And as for Elizabeth, it felt funny because now she was more to him than Emily’s best friend, she was his twin sister. Talk about confusion.

To Zander’s dismay, Roy entered the restaurant, looking as if he was looking for someone. His eyes widen when he spots Zander.

"Zander," Roy approached. "I’m glad to run into you. We have to talk…"

"I have nothing to say to you," Zander turned his back, glaring at the counter.

"Well I have something to say to you. Listen, I didn’t know that Alexis was pregnant or else…I wouldn’t have left…I would have found a way to stay with you. And if I couldn’t…I would have found a way that all three of you were safe from Helena."

"And that’s supposed to make it better?" Zander huffed. "Well it doesn’t! You want to know what my life was like for the past years? The house I grew up in was very dysfunctional! My adoptive father beat me til I was black and blue. That was when he was drunk which was most of the time. My adoptive mother…she was a drug addict and a lush. So I ran away from home and began working for Sorel who had gotten me involved with drugs and…well you know the rest."

"Zander…I’m sorry. If there was a way to change the past I would do so, but I can’t."

"That’s right. You can’t. So I think you should just get lost again and stay that way," Zander got up and left the restaurant to wait for his sister and mother. He wasn’t surprised to see Elizabeth and Lucky arrive.

"Morning Zander," Elizabeth smiled, that smile faded when he saw the expression in his eyes. "What’s wrong?"
"Our father’s in there," Zander sighed. "I just got done telling him off. Again."

"Why did you do that?" Elizabeth asked, confused. In her mind Roy was also a victim of Helena’s.

"He used our mother and left her to deal with Helena on her own. That’s why."

"Zander…he’s not to blame for what happened. Helena is. She’s the one who kidnapped us and made our mother believe we had died."

"If he had just stuck around Elizabeth…"

"From what my dad has told me, Roy didn’t have much of a choice. Once his cases were solved, he was forced to go back to jail," Lucky replied.

"I’m going in to talk to him," Elizabeth started for the door.

"Elizabeth what about Alexis?" Zander asked.

"Tell her I’m inside talking to Roy. I’ll be back out," Elizabeth disappeared into the diner.

"Don’t tell me she’s going to forgive him," Zander stared after his sister.

"I haven’t a clue," Lucky shrugged, twice as confused on what was going to happen.

Elizabeth found Roy hunched over the counter, staring into his coffee, deep in thought about what to do about the kids he didn’t even know he had. He didn’t even hear Elizabeth come in.

"Oh Elizabeth hi!" Anna greeted, coming out of the kitchen. "Is Lucky with you?"

"He’s outside with Zander," Elizabeth smiled as Roy turned around.

"Elizabeth," Roy got to his feet.

"Hi. Zander said you were in here. I just thought I’d come in and…I don’t know what I was going to say to you but…I just wanted to see you."

"Well…here I am," Roy shrugged. "Elizabeth…I want you to know if I had known that Alexis was pregnant, I would have found a way that you all would have been safe from Helena. This wasn’t attenional."

"I know it wasn’t. I know you would have been there if you could. I…I know that Zander’s having a hard time accepting you…but I just wanted you to know that I’m looking forward to getting to know you better. You and Alexis."

Roy smiled, fighting the tears in his eyes. He embraced the young woman that was his daughter and held her tightly. "Thank you. This means a lot to me."

Elizabeth smiled and pulled away. "Don’t worry about Zander. He’ll come around. He just needs time to readjust."

"He’s had a hard life Elizabeth. I can understand his anger."
"Elizabeth. Alexis is here," Lucky entered the diner.

"Oh. Ok. Uh…I’ll talk to you later?" Elizabeth asked, turning to Roy.

"Sure thing."

Elizabeth smiled then turned to Lucky. "I’ll see you when I get home," She kissed her husband.

"Have fun sweetie," Lucky smiled and watched her exit the diner.

"She’s a strong woman," Roy nodded.

"She sure is," Lucky agreed. "She’s been through so much."

"You talk like a man in love," Roy smiled, happy that his daughter had found a man that loves her as much as he knew Lucky did.

"Was that Alexis and her newly found daughter and son just leaving?" Helena asked as she strolled into the diner along with Tom Baker. Seeing them together, Lucky had a bad feeling.

"What are you doing here? Dad banned you the other day. Remember?" Lucky back up against the counter, trying not to reveal his fear. He knew what Helena was capable of and she was not to be underestimated.

"Now Lucky, when have I ever listened to your father?" Helena smiled evilly.

Just then Chance came running out of the kitchen Anna right behind them. The little boy runs out from behind the counter and right into Helena.

"What are you doing here?" Anna coldly stared at Helena, making a move to get out from behind the counter to get her son.

"Came to collect," Tom made a knuckle sandwich.

"I don’t think so," Roy started up from his seat, but as soon as he got up the lights went out and there were sounds of a fierce struggle. It was all too familiar for Anna and as the room grew silent and the lights came back on she already knew what she was going to find. Helena and Tom were gone and so were Lucky and Chance.

"Oh God no!" Anna cried out.

"Where did they go? How…?" Roy went to every corner and crevice of the restaurant in search of Lucky and Chance but there was no sign of them.

"Roy…call Luke. Tell him to get over here right away," Anna took out her cellphone to dial Robert’s number. "Tell him that Helena’s done it again. She’s taken Lucky and Chance."

Roy just nodded and headed for the phone in the kitchen.

Two hours have passed since Helena had disappeared with Lucky Spencer and Chance Scorpio. Kelly’s was as quiet as a tomb as Alexis, Elizabeth, and Zander returned from their shopping trip. Elizabeth suddenly knew something was wrong and it had to do with Lucky by the way Laura was sobbing on Nikolas’s shoulder.

"W-What happened? Where’s Lucky?" Elizabeth’s voice shook with fear. She had thought it was over. She had thought that now her and Lucky were free to be together and happy. No more kidnappings or brainwashings.

"Cowgirl," Luke got up from his chair and went to embrace Elizabeth , but she pushed him away.

"NO! Tell me where Lucky is!" She once again demanded, her voice filled with anger and grief. "Where is he!"

Roy was the one that stood up to explain things. He walked over and rubbed Elizabeth’s shoulder, trying to calm her down.

"Elizabeth…Lucky…Helena stopped by after you had left for your shopping trip. The lights went out and when they came back on Lucky and Chance Scorpio were gone. There’s been no trace of them anywhere and it’s been reported that Helena’s private plane is missing. We don’t know where they can be."

Elizabeth shook her head, her eyes full of denial. "No. No you’re lying. You have to be. Sonny’s men…what about…"

"Were found dead just behind the dumpster," Robert answered.

"No. No Nikolas…tell them that they’re mistaken. Lucky’s at his office isn’t he? He left right after I did. He went to his office…" She walked over to Nikolas who had gotten to his feet to hug his sister in law.

"I had the same thoughts you did Elizabeth. I checked everywhere Lucky might have gone to including his office and the boxcar, but there’s no sign of him. I’m sorry!"

Furious Elizabeth pulled away and slugged Nikolas sending him into Robert. "Damn you! Damn all of you Cassadines! Why couldn’t you just leave us alone!"

"Elizabeth chill out," Gia went to her fiancee’s side. "This isn’t his fault. There was no reason…"

"No Gia. Let her finish," Nikolas touched her arm. He knew Elizabeth didn’t mean what she was saying. She was so full of grief and fear. If lashing out at him made her feel better, well then so be it.

"Cowgirl, calm down," Luke tried to hold Elizabeth, but she pushed him away again.

"No! Bring him back! Bring Lucky back to me! Bring him back!" She was now in hysterics. She covered her face as she sank to the floor. She didn’t notice Zander wrap his arms around her shivering frame, pulling her close. "Bring him back."

Luke knelt down beside her and stroked her hair. "I promise you cowgirl. I’ll bring Lucky and Chance back and I’m going to make it so Helena won’t have a chance to come at any of us ever again."

"That’s right Elizabeth. Luke and I will take care of everything," Robert agreed.

"Zander…bring Elizabeth to my penthouse. She can stay with me," Alexis spoke up. "I don’t think that she should stay in that house by herself."

"Yes mam. Should we head out now?"

"I think that would be wise," Laura got to her feet. "It’s going to be a long night for all of us and being here is not going to help her."

Zander just nodded, and lifted his sister up into his arms. He turned around as Luke placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Take good care of her."

"I will," Zander nodded and then headed for Alexis car.

"Keep us posted," Alexis nodded before following her son.

"Poor Elizabeth…this is what? The fourth time she’s going through this?" Anna stared at the closed door. "This might be enough to destroy her."

"Let’s just hope and pray that it’s not. Let’s pray that she’ll be strong until Lucky comes back to us," Laura sighed, wiping away her falling tears.

Elizabeth stared up at the ceiling as she layed in the bed Alexis had made up for her. She glanced over at Zander who had not left her side the moment they arrived at Alexis’s penthouse. She sighed, her thoughts falling back to Lucky. She wondered where he was. Was he hurt? Did he miss her? Why oh why did this happen to them again? When everything was coming together for them? She should have known their peaceful life wouldn’t last.

She was about to drift off to sleep when the ringing of her cellphone woke her back up. Zander sat up in his chair, also alert. Elizabeth quickly picked up her phone and turned it on.

"Hello?"

"Elizabeth," Lucky’s voice came from the reciever.

"Lucky! Lucky oh my god where are you?" Elizabeth sat straight up, her eyes widening.

"I don’t know where we are. She’s only allowing me one phonecall."

"Lucky…are there any clues? Are you flying in the air are you on a ship?"

"I love you Elizabeth," Lucky’s voice seemed more urgent now.

"I love you too. Lucky please…tell me any clues, anything…"

Suddenly the line went dead. They were disconnected "Lucky! Lucky!"

"Did he say where he was?" Zander stood above the bed, Alexis in the doorway. Elizabeth looked at them both, tears in her eyes.

"W-where did he go?" She sobbed. "Where did he go?"

"Elizabeth," Zander sat down on the bed and pulled her into his arms, wanting to comfort his sister’s grief. He wished he could take her pain away, but he couldn’t. There was only one person who could do that and sadly that person wasn’t there at the moment. "He’ll come back Elizabeth. I’m sure of it. He’ll come back."

"I’ll go call Luke," Alexis disappeared back into the hall.

Holding his sister, Zander made a vow never to leave her alone and to protect her during Lucky’s absence. No one was going to get within fifteen feet of his sister without going through him first.
