"Are you sure this place is safe?" Nikolas asked for the thousandth time. It’s been two whole weeks since they had left Port Charles. Finally they had arrived in Covington and had found a motel room that was next to a Krogers Grocer.

"Safer than Port Charles at the moment," Lucky dumped their bags on a nearby bed. "We’ll stay here for a month. After that, we’ll move on. Be thinking of our next stop."

Nikolas nodded, staring out the window. "It’s just…I feel like we can’t escape her. No matter what we do…or where we go."

Lucky’s heart went out to his brother. He knew that this was hard for his normally pampered brother. Nikolas had never had experience with being on the run. He was scared. "Nikolas, everything will be fine. My dad will take care of Helena and then we can return to Elizabeth and Em. All we have to do is bide our time."

"Emily…what will she think of me when she finds out about me and Helena?"

"She probably already knows and wants to be there for you. She loves you man. She knows it wasn’t your fault."

"But isn’t it?" Nikolas buried his head in his hands. Everything was toppling down on him now. He had to tell someone, or it’ll destroy him. "Lucky…this wasn’t the first time. When I was a little boy and Stefan would be gone on business trips…she’d come into my room. She used to say Grandmother loves her little baby."

"…Nikolas…I had no idea…did Stefan know?"

"No. But he found out. He came home early and found her in my room. I went from watching Helena being dragged from my room to hearing about her stroke, which I now know was Stefan’s punishment for what she had done to me."

"Why didn’t you tell me about this before?"

"Because I didn’t remember until…you know. I think subconsciously, I blamed Laura. After all, if she hadn’t left…"

"It wouldn’t have happened. Mom wouldn’t have let her near you."

"But it’s not her fault…it’s…"

"It’s not yours either Nikolas. You do know that don’t you? You were just a helpless little boy and this time you were a captive. There was nothing you could have done to stop her."

"I know that. I’ve known it for a long time now. It’s just that…I don’t want Emily to feel sorry for me."

"She won’t Nikolas," Lucky hugged his brother. "She just wants to be there for you. That’s all."

"I know," Nikolas sighed. "Do you think we’ll ever see the girls again?"

"Of course. Right now, they should be in New York getting settled," Lucky sighed. "And dad should be on Helena’s tail right now. We’ll be home in no time.

Luke Spencer puffed on his cigar, glaring openly at Helena’s dark Yacht. For the past two weeks, he had waited for Mama Bat to return. So far it was a fruitless wait. He had gone from promising Elizabeth and Emily the quick return of their boyfriends as they set out for New York, to now casing Helena’s abandoned yacht. Where was the old witch?

"She’s not here Mate," a impossibly familiar voice spoke from behind.

Luke whirled around and almost fainted from pure shock. "Robert."

The Australian WSB agent reached out and stopped his friend from falling. "In the flesh."
