Helena stood on the docks looking out at Wyndemere. A grin of
satisfaction was plastered on her face. She now almost had everything she wanted.
Now it was time to claim her grandson. Make him loyal to her and only her and
now she had the ammunition to do so. Oh yes, Nikolas had made a horrible
mistake revealing his one weakness to her and his brother had made a mistake by
leaving the safety of his family. In doing so he had provided her with that
ammunition.
"Oh yes my dear Nikolas. Soon you will be mine and the
Spencers…will be dead. At least the expendable ones anyway."
"Madame, Master Nikolas has just returned home."
"Good. Make the delivery now Andreas. The sooner we get this started…the
sooner I will have my dreams fulfilled."
*
Nikolas walked into the now empty cottage, not surprised to find
Emily gone. For the past couple of months their relationship has been strained.
It’s like it was Lucky that was holding them all together and now that he’s
gone…shaking his head he banished all thoughts of what could have been out of
his mind and went to check the tape to find nothing but static.
"Not back yet," He grumbled. He jumped at the knock on
the door. Scratching the back of his neck, he went to the door just to find no
one there. He glanced at the porch just to find A envelope with his name
written on it. His eyes narrowed when he noticed it was Lucky’s handwritting.
Meet me on the docks. I need you.
Lucky
"Oh my God, Lucky," Nikolas dropped the letter and
without another thought rushed out the door as a feeling of certain danger
filled him. His brother was in trouble and once again it was up to Nikolas to
save him.
*
The docks appeared to be deserted when Nikolas arrived. Looking
around there was no sign of Lucky.
"Lucky! Lucky I’m here!" Nikolas called.
"Lucky…!"
Nikolas shout was cut off by a heavy hit to the back of his head.
He didn’t even know what hit him. Nor did he notice the two hands carrying him
to a black stretch limo with tainted windows where a elderly woman awaited.
"Good job men. Here’s your pay. And remember, not a word to
anyone," The woman smiled.
"Yes mam," The men nod and left the woman and her
captive alone.
"Ah my dear boy. Soon you will be loyal only to me, your
brother, and your father. Luke Spencer is definitely going to pay for taking
what was my son’s," Helena Cassadine smiled with glee. "Andreas…is
the room ready?"
"The prince’s room is all set up madame," Andreas
nodded.
"Good. Now on with the second half of my plan."
*
Nikolas groaned at the horrible headache as he awakens. "What
happened?" He groaned. Opening his eyes widen in disbelief as he noticed
the lavish furnishes and the big Cassadine Crest on the floor. The bed he was
in was a king size and the sheets were silk and the covers were of the finest
material. Statues and trophies, and plaques were everywhere. A painting himself
and Darius the horse was hanging just above the bed and a television and a
stereo now playing classical music was on a desk along with a computer. A
bookshelf filled with textbooks and encyclopedia’s sat along side the computer.
It was a room made for a prince.
Getting up he went to the door and tried to open it just to find
it locked.
"Helena!!! Open the door! I know you’re behind this! Open the
door! Helena!!! I demand you by order of the Prince!"
"Oh calm down my dear. There’s really no need to holler so. I
swear those Spencers have been such a nasty influence on my dear boy,"
Helena stroked his cheek just for him to take a step back.
"Don’t touch me," Nikolas growled.
"Such temper. Really. So how do you like your furnishings?
Suitable for the Cassadine prince don’t you think?"
"What do you want? Why am I here?"
Helena laughed. "I missed you and I thought a nice trip just the three of
us would be nice."
"Three of us?"
Helena just smiled. "Before I bring in the third person I want to make
some things clear."
Nikolas began to laugh. "She kidnaps my brother, almost kills
him, then she kidnaps me and she wants to make some things clear?"
"Nikolas if you ever hope to see your dear little brother again I suggest
you quit that ridiculous heckling and listen to what I have to tell you."
Nikolas immediately stopped laughing and clenched his fists. "Don’t you
ever threaten my brother. In fact don’t even breath his name."
"Are you going to listen or not?"
Nikolas crossed his arms. "Go ahead."
"There will be no funny business, meaning no escape attempts
or anything of the like. If you misbehave even once…my guest will pay."
Nikolas snorted. "And why should I care about your guest? It’s not like I
know him."
Helena evilly smiled. "Guards, bring in my young guest please."
"What are you up to?" Nikolas glared at his grandmother
and gasped when he saw who the prisoner was. "Oh my God…Lucky…how…"
"Caught up with him just as he was leaving Port Charles," Helena
approached the young man who wasn’t even struggling with the guards much to Nikolas’s
surprise. "Lucky for young Spencer, he took my threats against his dear
Elizabeth seriously and was quite cooperative. Weren’t you my dear Lucky?"
Lucky didn’t say a word, he just glared at the elderly woman.
"Now as I was saying Nikolas. Any funny business like trying
to escape and your dear brother will pay. For now I’ll allow you two to stay
together. This room is a lot more than Lucky had before your arrival. But now I
see it cruel to keep your brother in such barbaric surroundings. Plus his presence
will remind you of what will happen if you misbehave."
Looking at his brother then at his grandmother, Nikolas was
overcome with anger. He lounged at her and his hands were right around her
throat when he heard his brothers gasp of pain. One of the guards had punched
him hard in the stomach with the butt of his gun and was about to hit him
again.
"Lucky!" He quickly released Helena just as the guard
brought the gun down on the back of Lucky’s head knocking him unconcious.
"Lucky no!"
"Now see what you’ve done? Behave Nikolas if you want to
spare your brother anymore pain. Guards leave him! Young Spencer will be
rooming with his brother for now on! Come!" Helena strolled of the room
taking the guards with her.
Trying the door he found she had locked it again.
"Grandmother! You won’t get away with this! You won’t!"
There was no answer. Only the sound of Lucky’s labored breathing.
"Lucky," Nikolas went to his brother and dragged him
over to the bed. Bracing himself, he lifted his brother up onto the bed and
covered him up. Noticing a sink nearby, he found a washcloth and ran it under
the ice cold water. He gently place the rag behind his brother’s head.
"Lucky I’m so sorry."
Lucky groaned as he opened his eyes to the lavish furnishings. His
heart lept in fear. The only time he found himself in Helena’s room when she
wanted him for her own pleasures. What a rush it must be for her to rape her
enemie’s only son. He was just glad Elizabeth wasn’t with him this time.
Leaving town without her was the smartest thing he’s ever done.
"You know, leaving town like that was the most stupidest
thing you’ve ever done," a familiar voice snorted from the far corner of
the room. He painfully turned his head to find Nikolas shaking his head.
"Nikolas?"
"That’s right. It’s me. Your big brother. I’m sorry Lucky…."
Lucky closed his eyes as the memory of being brought into the room
to see Nikolas glaring at Helena came back to him. "What are you doing
here?"
Nikolas shrugged. "Obviously to be turned into my father. At
least I’m guessing what this is for. "And as far as I’ve seen, she’s not
only using you for revenge against Luke…she’s using you to keep me in line too.
I behave and you remain unharmed."
"Then why do I feel like I’ve just been hit with a
truck?"
"Because I didn’t believe her and tried to strangle the life
out of her. I’m sorry Lucky. I didn’t want you to get hurt…"
"Don’t blame yourself. I’ve been hurt worse than this. So how
long is she keeping me in here before returning me to my dungeon?"
"How about for good? We’ll be sharing this room until Stefan
and Luke finds us. At least Stefan anyway."
"And how long will that be?"
Nikolas just looked at his brother and shrugged. "Hopefully
soon."
