Two days later…
Stefan Cassadine bursted into Luke’s office clutching a note he
had found on Nikolas’s floor in his hand. Nikolas has been missing for two days
now and not a word from him. When Stefan went to investigate, he found the door
unlocked and a note from Lucky Spencer asking for help in the middle of the
floor. That was when he knew something terrible had happened to his son and
Luke was right in the thick of it.
"What the…what are you doing here!" Luke got up from his
desk, ready to face Stefan.
"What did you do with him Spencer! What did you do!"
Stefan demanded.
"What are you talking about?"
"I knew you hated Nikolas and blamed him for your son’s leaving but to do
this is unexcusable!"
"What! What are you yammering about?! I haven’t seen Nikolas
since the day he told us all that Lucky left Port Chuckles!"
"Yeah right. And you’re going to tell me that you didn’t send
him this note!" Stefan threw the note down on the desk.
Luke glanced at the note and his eyes widened. "This says
it’s from Lucky….but this isn’t Cowboy’s handwriting."
"What?" Stefan glared at his nemesis.
"Lucky’s handwritting is slightly bigger and broader than
this cheap imatation."
"So you wrote it and I want to know where my son is
now!"
"Well join the club Vlad because I’d like to know where my
son is as well! I have heard nothing from him for the past two months! And
second of all I have better things to do with my time than fake my son’s
handwriting so I can send Prince Nikky on a wild goose chase. How long has
Nikky been gone anyway?"
"Two days."
Luke whistled. "Something or someone must have happened. Have
you checked Helena’s yacht. Word has it that the bat was back in town."
"I’ve checked everywhere and there’s no sign of Helena."
"Well that’s too bad," Luke shrugged. "I’m sorry
that they used Lucky to get Nikolas. Good luck in finding him."
Stefan just growled something about how all spencers were
worthless and stormed back out, leaving Luke staring at the forged note.
"So Cowboy…where are you anyway?"

Elizabeth was out on the docks, staring off into the swirling fog
when Stefan approached her. He knew she was a good friend of Nikolas’s and
might know what happened to him.
"Miss. Webber?"
"Oh Mr. Cassadine," She cleared her throat. "What
can I help you with?"
"Have you seen Nikolas in the past couple of days? When I went to his
cottage the door was open and I found a note from…his brother asking him to
come to the docks. But there has been no word from Nikolas in the past couple
of days…Luke Spencer said the note was a forgery, but I believe nothing Luke
Spencer has to say."
"…I’m sorry Mr. Cassadine. I haven’t seen Nikolas at all. I
have found it weird because he always looked in on me. Made sure I was still
breathing I guess. You don’t think something bad could’ve happened to him do
you?"
"I’m sure it hasn’t. I’m sure that whereever Nikolas maybe
he’s perfectly safe. I just want to make sure of that fact myself."
"Oh," Elizabeth nodded. "Tell him he’s in my thoughts when you
do find him. It’d kill Lucky if anything happened to him."
"Thank you Miss. Webber. I’ll be sure to pass the message along,"
Stefan turned to head back to Wyndemere.
