Two days have passed since the wedding and the newlywed’s departure for two weeks in Paris. Lucky and Elizabeth were spending their days at the Spencer house, not only spending time with Lulu, but also looking for a place of their own. Laura was now comfortable enough with Stefan and the staff of Wyndemere, t hat she no longer needed them to stay with her.

"How about this one?" Elizabeth showed Lucky the picture of a old brownstone showcased in the real estate section of the paper.

"Hmmm, we’ll see," Lucky smiled, kissing her lips gently, as Earl came in, looking as if he’s seen something totally unbelievable.

"Earl?" Luke frowned, standing in the doorway. He didn’t like how his friend looked at the moment. "What’s going on?"

Earl held up the paper, the headline in plain sight: DEAD BODIES FOUND ON THE DOCK. "The McCoys. They’re dead."

"What was that?" Lucky got to his feet, not even daring to hope that he heard correctly.

"The McCoy’s are dead. Their bodies were found on the docks early this morning. The coroner says it seems to have been from natural causes," Earl explained, beginning to come out of his shock.

"Natural causes my foot," Luke snorted. "They had somehow gotten on Helena’s bad side and she did them in. I for one say good riddance. That’s one nuisance we won’t have to deal with anymore," Luke poured himself a glass of orange juice.

"Luke," Laura gasped in shock at her husband’s attitude.

"It’s true. Now none of us will have to worry about their stupid threats ever again. Now Lucky, little Laura, and the unborn baby Spencer are truly safe from those people."

"He’s safe Lucky," Elizabeth sighed in a relief she hadn’t felt in a long long time. With the McCoy’s dead, there was now no threat to their baby’s safety. Now they can all live in peace.

"I love you sweetie," Lucky wrapped his arms around her. She just sighed happily, leaning into his embrace.
