Lucky laid back, ready to drift off to sleep when Elizabeth quietly slipped in. "Jason’s gone to get Eli’s now."

"Good. Elizabeth…come here," Lucky patted the space beside him.

"What?"

"What exactly did my dad say to Nikolas?" Lucky took her hand.

"…I don’t know. I came in at the end of it. Why?"

"Because somehow Nikolas is blaming himself and my dad has something to do with it. I need to have a long talk with him."

Elizabeth nodded. "I agree. But he’s gone now so that talk’s going to have to wait. But I do have good news. Carly and I have called a truce. With Nikolas and Luke at each other’s throats, we thought it’d be easier on you if we got along. So starting now, Carly and I are on good terms…well at least civil terms."

"So does that mean she’s realizing that I’m the one and only man for you?"
Elizabeth shrugged. "I guess. Hey don’t worry about Nikolas. He’ll be fine. He just has to come to terms with his family. Just like you had to."
There was a soft knock at the door. Elizabeth turned to see that Luke had returned. "Hey there darling. Mind if I join ya?"
Elizabeth shook her head. "Not at all Mr. Spencer."

"Elizabeth…can I speak to my dad alone please," Lucky squeezed her hand, wanting to get Luke’s treatment of Nikolas out in the open now while he was thinking about it.

"Uh sure. I’ll be right outside if you need anything," Elizabeth nodded, getting up to leave the two men alone.

"What is this about Cowboy?" Luke took a seat in the nearby chair.

"Why are you blaming Nikolas for what Helena did," Lucky looked at his father, judging his reaction.

"So the prince came in and whined that I was picking on him huh?" Luke snorted.

"I made him tell me dad. After your little tirade he was beating himself up over what Helena did. I want you to stop now dad. Nikolas is my brother and a part of my life. He’s going to remain that way and I want you two to get along."

"He’s a spawn Lucky. Useless at best," Luke sighed, looking up at the ceiling.

"You’re wrong dad. Nikolas is not spawn and he’s not useless. He saved my life!"

"And I guess Elizabeth wasn’t there?"

"He told Elizabeth and they both came and got me out of there. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here now. But instead of being grateful you’re laying guilt trips on him."

"I am grateful for your return Lucky. But I don’t trust Nikolas Cassadine and neither should you."

"I already do dad, and I don’t regret a minute of it. Dad…listen I love you both ok. I just want you two to get along. That’s not too much to ask. Accept that Nikolas is my brother and that he’s a part of my life. Or Leave. Because I will not have you putting my brother down like you did earlier again."

"Lucky…"

"I’m serious dad. Lay off of Nikolas or never come back."

Luke sighed. Lucky was even more stubborn than his mother. "Ok. Fine. I’ll lay off the prince. Happy?"
"Ecstatic. Thank you dad," Lucky grinned.

"Anything for you cowboy," Luke pulled his son into a hug.

"Nikolas! Will you please come in here please!" Lucky called out to his brother once Luke released him.

"Lucky? What are you doing?" Luke looked at his son in shock.

"Calling my brother. Nikolas!"

"Yeah?" Nikolas stuck his head through the door and looked worried when he saw Luke.

"Come in here a second. I want you both to do something for me," Lucky beckoned for his brother to join them.

"Yeah?" Nikolas stepped into the room and faced Luke.

"Dad I want you to hug Nikolas and welcome him into the family," Lucky grinned. "And thank him for saving me."

"You can’t be serious," Luke stared at his son in disbelief.

"Do it. Or leave."

Luke sighed and looked at Nikolas, trying to see Laura but only seeing Stavros. He wasn’t sure he could do what Lucky wanted, but glancing at Lucky he knew he couldn’t refuse. Swallowing, Luke forced his arms around Nikolas. "Thank you for bringing Lucky home."

"And?" Lucky crossed his arms.

"Welcome to the…family," Luke quickly released Nikolas then turned to his son. "Happy?"

Lucky smiled. "Yes. And maybe next time you’ll mean it."

Luke only snorted and swiftly left the room, leaving a snickering Nikolas alone with Lucky.

"Man you can make him do anything can’t you?"

Lucky only smiled evilly. "I wonder what I can make him do next. Both boys laugh at the thought.
