CHAPTER
FOUR
Two hours
later, the car pulls up in front of a nice sized victorian house. Elizabeth’s
eyes widened. This house was the house she always dreamed of living in. It was
perfect.
"This
is the place?" Lucky asked, looking up at the building. This was even
nicer than the house in port charles.
"Yeap.
No one would ever suspect a mobster owning this place, and it’s out of the way
enough so no one can be curious about new neighbors or strange going ons."
"I love
it. Come on Lucky! Let’s go see what it looks like!" Elizabeth is already
out of the car and running towards her new home.
"Looks
like the cowgirl likes it," Luke watches his son and girlfriendapproach
the house.
"I
letted Jason know. Just in case I’m out of town and the kids needed anything. I
knew you wouldn’t mind."
"As
long as he doesn’t know any cassadines I’m fine. I just wish Lucky would change
his mind about letting Nikolas know," Luke sighed. "Trusting a
Cassadine is a big mistake."
"The
kid’s his brother Luke. Give him a break. And so far he has watched Lucky’s
back. I doubt he’ll be running to his grandmother spilling the beans of where
Lucky’s hiding."
"Yeah,
but Helena has him followed. I may tell Nikolas that Lucky is alive, but I’m
not telling him where he is," Luke sighed. "I know Lucky will be mad,
but I can’t help that. I will not endanger my son like that."
"You
choice Luke. Now let’s go in and get the kids settled," Sonny gets out of
the car.
"We
love it Mr. Corinthoes. Thank you," Elizabeth takes in her surroundings.
"I’m glad,"
Sonny smiles. He had just gotten through showing Lucky and Elizabeth around the
house. "If you need anything here’s my number, and if you can’t reach me,
here’s Jason’s number. We’ll both do what we can for you. Johnny will be
delivering groceries and supplies here every week. We’ll call about when we can
bring Laura and the others up to see you."
"Thank
you," Lucky nods, taking the numbers.
"Take
care Cowboy. I’ll be in touch," Luke nods as Sonny leaves the house.
"Don’t worry about your mother and sister. I’ll keep an eye on them."
"And
tell Nikolas that this is not his fault okay dad? I know he’ll try to blame
himself. And be nice to him. Don’t call him prince Nikky or anything like
that."
Luke only
nods before leaving. Leaving Elizabeth and Lucky to themselves.
"Do you
think he’ll listen?" Lucky asked.
"Of
course. He’d never keep this from Laura," Elizabeth squeezes his hand.
"I mean
about Nikolas. You know how much he hates Nikolas."
"He’ll
tell him you’re alive. But to be honest, I can’t see him stop calling Nikolas
prince nikky."
Lucky
laughed. "Me neither. Come on. Let’s go unpack."
Elizabeth
stops on the stairs and looks off in the distance.
"Elizabeth?"
"What
if we never see them again Lucky? What if we’re stuck here forever?"
Lucky goes
back down to her and takes her in his arms, holding her tight. "I promise
Elizabeth, you will see everyone again. This won’t last forever."
"I hope you’re right," Elizabeth sighs, closing her eyes, remembering
the last time she was with all her friends at Kelly’s.
