Twenty
minutes later, Sonny arrived, flanked by two dark haired muscular men.
"Sonny
hi," Elizabeth smiled. "Please come in. Can I get you anything? Lucky
doesn’t like to keep alcohol in the house, would a ice tea or lemonade or coke
do?"
"That’s
alright Elizabeth. I’m not thirsty. Let me introduce you to your two new
bodyguards Denny and Boris. They’ll be guarding you along with Sam and Mike.
"You know the drill. Pretend they’re not even there."
"It’s nice to meet you," Elizabeth nodded politely.
"Ok
gentlemen. Take your places," Sonny dismissed them. Both men nodded and
walked out the door. "Ok what did you want to talk to me about Liz?"
Elizabeth
cleared her throat, suddenly nervous. It was Lucky who was used to handling
things like this, not her, but she wanted to make sure there wasn’t another
fire, or kidnapping. She needed Lucky now more than ever and she’d die if he
disappeared from her life again.
"Helena
Cassadine is back in town," Elizabeth bit her lip, wringing her hands.
"You remember the trouble she put us all through a couple of years back.
Her and Faison…"
Sonny
nodded. "Yeah…but what does this have to do with me? I can’t picture a
sweet girl like you wanting me to take the witch out."
"Can
you put some men on Lucky? Make make sure she doesn’t have a chance of getting
near him."
"You
think she may still be after Lucky?"
Elizabeth
nodded. "She gave up too easily and now she’s back to finish what she
started. I want to make sure Lucky doesn’t disappear again."
Sonny
smiled. This was one reason he loved the Spencer family. They always looked out
for one another. "Elizabeth, I would love to do this favor for you
but…"
"What?"
Elizabeth frowned. Was there a reason why Sonny was going to refuse to help
her?
"Luke
already has that covered. As of last Friday, Lucky’s been under my protection.
If Helena or one of her minions ever take a step near Lucky, I blow them out of
the water."
Elizabeth
laughed, knowing how stupid it was to forget that Luke had everything covered
where Lucky was concerned. "Thank God. Does Lucky know?"
"No. Luke made it clear that Lucky was to be kept in the dark. He says the
kid believes he can take care of himself."
Elizabeth
nodded. "He does and he wouldn’t like being under someone else’s
protection. He went through all of that with Faison…"
Sonny smiled
and placed a secure hand on Liz’s shoulder. "Don’t worry Elizabeth.
Lucky’s a smart kid. He’ll be fine, and with my finest men guarding the both of
you, there’s no way anyone can get to you."
Unbeknownst
to both Elizabeth and Sonny, there’s a bug planted on the bottom of the end
table transmitting the conversation back to Helena’s yacht smiling evilly. So
the Spencers thought Corinthoes could keep them safe from her. They were wrong.
Nothing, not even the most prosperous mob boss in Port Charles can get in the
way of her plans. Possession of Luke’s Spencer’s only son and the destruction
of the rest of the Spencer clan.

Thomas Cook
stood in front of Laura Spencer’s desk watching her ruffle through the
necessary papers. He was surprised that morning when he got the call to come
down to Deception and fill out the necessary forms. He wasn’t expecting to get
hired so soon.
"Here
we go. The W-2’s," Laura smiled, handing the forms over to the
photographer. "Mr. Cook let me be the first to welcome you to
Deception."
"Thank
you Mrs. Spencer. And may I say I’m happy to be working for a company with such
a …suitable name."
Laura
frowned at that, but then shrugged, "I guess it is a bit of deception all
us women play when we apply our make-up."
Thomas only
smiled again. Everything was going so well. Now that he was working at
Deception, now he can work on his own revenge for being put behind bars plus
Mrs. Cassadine’s plans to seek revenge against all things Spencer. He only
hoped the fab four stayed away a little while longer. They’d recognize him in a
instant. Maybe plastic surgery would be a option. He’ll have to discuss it with
Helena.
"Laura?"
Gia tentatively knocked on the door. "I just want to know if it’d be ok if
Nikolas and I go out of town for a couple of days. He wants to take me to
Paris, but I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t be needed."
"That’d
be fine Gia," Laura smiled at the love of her eldest son’s life. She was
so happy that Gia had brought the light back into her son’s eyes again after
that nasty breakup with Lily. "Oh Gia, you remember Thomas Cook don’t
you?"
"How
can I forget? He made me relax in front of the camera. No other photographer
has ever done that for me."
"Well
he’ll be your new photographer for now on."
"Really?
Well welcome aboard. I look forward to working you."
"As well I," Thomas politely kissed, Gia’s hand a start to his
revenge taking shape in his mind. Gia was the girl friend of that rich kid who
helped put him away. How would the little prince like it if he bedded his
girlfriend? Operation seduce Gia Campbell was slowing taking shape.
"Well I
guess I better get going. We don’t want to miss that flight," Gia
uncomfortably smiled. "again congratulations Mr. Cook."
"Please, call me Thomas."
"Oh.
Ok, Thomas," Gia smiled before exiting the room.
"Such a
beautiful girl," Thomas looked at the door.
"Yes.
My son’s crazy about her," Laura arched a eyebrow, not liking how Thomas
was looking at her star model. Maybe hiring the man wasn’t such a good idea
after all. "You may start next week Mr. Cook. I’ll have a studio and dark
room ready for you by then."
"Ok
Mrs. Spencer. Good day," Thomas grinned. "And thank you for this
opportunity."
Laura smiled
uncomfortably, wondering if Stefan was right when he said she was being too
trusting not checking Mr. Cook’s references.
