Lucky and Zander stood outside Helena’s
yacht, going over the plan one last time.
“Now remember, wait just outside the
door after attaching this. Get
Elizabeth as far away as possible.”
“Lucky…listen, I can’t do it. I can’t press the button that’ll…”
“Then I’ll do it. Just attach the bomb and get Elizabeth out
of here,” Lucky took the remote out of the package. “And Zander…if I don’t make it out…take care of Elizabeth for
me. Make sure she doesn’t self-destruct
and tell Nikolas and my parents that I love them and I did this so they could
all be free.”
“Hey you can tell them that yourself,”
Zander forced a smile, trying to hold back his own tears. “You’re a Spencer. You always come out on top.”
Lucky sadly smiled. “I wish that was true. But I know from experience that it’s
not. Just promise you’ll do that for
me.”
Zander sighed. “Ok. I promise. If you don’t get out, I’ll tell them.”
“Thank you,” Lucky hugged his brother in
law. “For that and more. Take care Zander.”
“Good luck,” Zander watched Lucky board
the yacht. He wiped away a tear, hoping that he’ll see him again, alive and
well.

Helena towered over Elizabeth, who was
now tied to the King sized bed, dressed in the red dress from that horrible
February night she was raped. Tom and
Sarah stood at the opposite corner of the room, wondering what their employer
would do next.
“You don’t know this dear, but this is
the same bed that I had your husband on,” Helena smiled wickedly. “Oh yes, this bed holds nice memories…”
“Oh you mean when you raped him?”
Elizabeth sarcastically replied.
Helena glared down at the girl, who
didn’t back down. Elizabeth glared
right back. “Lucky was with me
willingly.”
“Yeah. After you kidnapped him and brainwashed him!”
“You know nothing. I’d mind my manners if I were you my
dear. Before I decide to let Mr. Baker
have his way with you earlier then planned.
Who knows…if you’re nice, I’ll let you watch me and Lucky tonight…maybe
I’ll even share…”
“You are sick!” Elizabeth shook her head
as one of Helena’s men entered.
“Madam, Lucky Spencer is onboard.”
“Excellent! It’s time for the fun to begin.
He is alone isn’t he?”
“Yes Madam.”
“Good.
You may return to your post. Sarah,
Tom, come into the adjoining room with me.
We’ll leave Elizabeth here to greet her husband,” Helena and her two
accomplices exit the room, leaving Elizabeth alone to struggle with her ropes.
Five minutes later Lucky arrived. “Elizabeth!”
“Lucky no! Get out! It’s a trap!”
She tried to warm him as Lucky freed her from the bed.
“I know. Where’s Tom?”
“Right here,” Tom returned, right behind
Helena and Sarah. “Can I have her now
Helena?”
“Tom, you know better then to ask me
that,” Helena dismissed the question.
“Ah Lucky. It’s so good to see
you again. I can’t wait to pick up
where we left off.”
“He’s not staying!” Elizabeth took
Lucky’s hand.
“Of course he is,” Helena’s smile didn’t
fade. She sauntered over to the bed and
ran a hand through his h air. Her eyes
shone with seduction. “Lucky wouldn’t
dream of leaving.”
Oh but he did. He wanted so badly to get up with his wife and leave the yacht
all together. But he knew that he
couldn’t. If he left with Elizabeth and
Zander, it’ll never be over. His family
would be looking behind their backs for the rest of their lives. So he’ll stay and make sure the witch dies
and remained dead this time.
He took Elizabeth’s hands in his own and
held them tightly. He had to get her to
see that this was the way it had to be in order for them all to be free.
“Elizabeth, listen to me. Zander is waiting for you on the other side
of that door to take you home. You must
go with him.”
“What!
And leave you here? Lucky no!”
“Elizabeth, please. I need you to do this. Trust me, this will all be over soon. Now go with Zander.”
Elizabeth swallowed back her tears. Crying wasn’t going to help anything. It’d only make losing Lucky worse. She glared at Helena. “I’m coming back with Luke.”
“We’ll b e long gone by then my dear,”
Helena snorted. “Tom please escort Mrs.
Spencer off the yacht.”
“There’s no need for that. I’ll do that myself,” Lucky glared at the
photographer. “Her brother is waiting
just outside this room.”
“I thought we had an agreement,” Helena
frowned.
“We did. You said not to bring my father and Sonny’s guards and I
haven’t. You didn’t say anything about
Zander.”
“Touché,” Helena nodded. “Very well.
Say your goodbyes and see her to the door.”
Not releasing her hand, Lucky led her to
the door and kissed her one final time.
He wanted to tell her that he had a plan, but didn’t want Helena or her
people to overhear. It was best for her
to think this was really good-bye.
“Lucky please…come home,” Elizabeth
began to cry again.
“I can’t sweetie. I have to make sure that Helena doesn’t
bother anyone very again. This is the
only way,” Lucky hugged her tightly. “Just
remember, you have my hear and that’s a permanent lock. Everything I am is in love with you.”
“Lucky…please…”
Still holding her, Lucky opened the door
to find Zander. Their eyes met once
more. Lucky reminding him of his
promise and Zander nodding, silently reconfirming his promise and that the bomb
was where it should be.
“Take care of her,” Lucky gently pulled
out of her embrace and pushed her into Zander’s waiting arms.
“I will,” Zander grimly nodded, pulling
his struggling sister away from the door and Lucky.
“Stop Elizabeth. Go with Zander,” Lucky tried to help, but
Elizabeth wasn’t listening. She was
still struggling.
“No!
No! I can’t leave you! I won’t!” she cried out, but Zander was too
strong. Finally he got her off the boat
and onto the dock where Nikolas and Gia were angrily glaring up at his
grandmother’s abode.
“Elizabeth!” Nikolas ran up to his newly
found cousins. “What’s going on? What were you two doing on Helena’s yacht?”
“Lucky!” Elizabeth collapsed onto the
wooden planks of the dock. “Lucky’s on
there with Helena!”
“What?” All color drained out of
Nikolas’s face.
“And you just left him on there?” Gia
questioned in disbelief.
“You don’t understand and I don’t have
time to explain. We have to get as far
away from that yacht as possible,” Zander picked up his sister and began
pulling her away once again.
“It doesn’t look like we have to worry
about that. It’s moving away from us,”
Gia pointed. Sure enough the yacht was
moving away from the dock. “We can’t
save him now.”
“You want to bet?” Nikolas pulled out
his cell phone. “Let me call the
launch!”
“No!” Zander snatched the phone away
just as the yacht exploded in a bright ball of fire.
“My God,” Gia gasped in horror. “No one could have survived that.”
“LUKIEEEE!” Elizabeth screamed in
despair. This time Zander let her collapse to the ground.
“No…please not again,” Nikolas
whimpered.
“He actually did it,” Zander just stood
there, watching the burning inferno, half way fascinated by how the water
mirrored the ball of flames.
Yes, they were now free of Helena’s
evil, but at a great price. A price
that none of them were willing to pay.
