Nikolas ran back into the room he had managed to escape from by placing a piece of wood inside the door so it wouldn’t close all the way. He was curious of where his grandmother was taking Lucky and what she was doing to him to make his spirit deteriorate so rapidly. And now he knew. Holding his hand to his mouth he went to the restroom to vomit. Leaning against the toliet, he knew what he had to do. Nikolas was going to have to take his brother and escape from this place one way or another. He was going to make sure Helena never touched him again.

But first he needed a plan. A way to get away from Helena and not get caught because if they were caught things would get worse for Lucky. He just knew it. Setting at the computer he starts typing up game plans for the great escape.

Two hours later Lucky was returned, his spirit even more deteriorated than before. He went to the cot Helena had set up for him and curled up into a ball, not moving or acknowledging Nikolas’s presence. If the truth be known, he was hoping that Nikolas wouldn’t notice his presence, but there was no such luck. He closed his eyes and pretended to be asleep as Nikolas approached the cot and layed a gentle hand on his arm.

"Lucky? Lucky are you awake? Listen…I know what she does to you when she takes you from here. I saw everything. Don’t be ashamed. None of it was your fault…of course you probably already know that from what happened to Liz…but I just wanted to tell you that. Let you know you have nothing to be ashamed of. Listen Lucky…I have a plan. A plan for us to escape out of here. It’s foolproof and she’ll never be able to touch you again. I promise you Lucky. I swear on my life I will get you out of this."

"When?"

"We leave tomorrow night. When I know grandmother is asleep. I promise you Lucky. I’m getting you out of here."

Late the following night, five hours after Lucky was returned from another session, considerably weakened and pale, Nikolas put his plan in motion.

Slinging his brother’s arm over his shoulder, he hefted the young man and half dragged him over to the door, where he had rigged it not to close all the way. Carefully but quickly Nikolas headed down the hall.

"Hey you there! You’re not supposed to be out!" a gruff voice shouted behind them.

Panicing, Nikolas moved faster, determination to get Lucky to safety burned in his eyes. They’ve reached a enclosed corner when they hear slow moving footsteps on the otherside. Nikolas and Lucky quickly dunk into the corner and wait. Nikolas gasped as a barrel of a hand gun was pointing in his face.

"Don’t move and tell me where the prisoners are," A gruff voice demanded.

"L-luke?" Nikolas gasped.

"Prince?" Luke came all the way around the corner and his eyes widened when he saw Lucky. "Cowboy!"

"After them! They must not escape!" Helena’s voice was heard not too far away. There wasn’t much time.

"She’s coming we have to go," Nikolas pulled Lucky away from the wall.

"There’s only room for two prince. I’m sorry," Luke just stared at Lucky, not believing that he had finally found his son.

Only room for two? That meant that one of them was going to have to stay behind. Looking at Lucky then back behind them while the voices were getting louder, Nikolas made a decision. Helena had hurt Lucky in a way he should never had been hurt. It was imperative that he got out.

"Here. Take care of him," Nikolas pushed his brother into his nemesis arms.

"Nikolas no!" Lucky began to struggle in his father’s grasp, not wanting to leave his brother behind with the madwoman.

"Shhh Lucky don’t worry. I’ll be fine. I’m the prince remember? Helena won’t hurt me but she’d hurt you and I promised not to let that happen again. Now go on with Luke and I’ll see you again. I promise."

"No Nikolas! Nikolas!"

"Come on Cowboy. We’ve got to fly," Luke pulled his son backward, dragging him away from his brother, leaving Nikolas behind in his living nightmare.

"Nikolas!" Lucky struggled.

"Good-bye Lucky," Nikolas tried not to cry. He hoped that Luke would have a heart and tell Stefan, but he somehow doubted that. There was no telling what was going to happen to him.

"There you are…and you’re alone," Helena roughly grabbed his arm. "Where is he?! What did you do with him!"
Just then the whirl of a helicoptor was heard taking off and Nikolas smiled in triumph. His brother was out of danger. Luke would guard Lucky with his life.

"you’re never going to touch my brother again."

Pure fury burning in her eyes, Helena slapped Nikolas hard, sending him whirling into the wall. "Take my ungrateful grandson back to his room and make sure the door is locked firmly. He will not escape again."

"Yes madame," the guards nod and take a laughing Nikolas away.

Stefan was standing at the nurse’s station going over some important papers when Luke rushed his furious son into the room, demanding help.

"Nikolas! Nikolas!"

"Lucky calm down! Can I get some help over here!" Luke was struggling to hold on to his son, but it was getting harder and harder. He was relieved to see Bobbie and Tony rush over with a stretcher.

"You left him! You left him for Helena!" Lucky yelled.

"Lucky there was no room. Now calm down and let your aunt look after you."

"No! I hate you! I hate you! Nikolas!" Lucky yelled again.

Stefan was immediately at Lukes side as they got Lucky strapped onto the stretcher. "Nikolas? Lucky where is Nikolas? Tell me."

Stefan found himself being pulled back by Luke. The older Spencer placed himself between Stefan and his son.

"Stay away from my son Vlad. You Cassadines have already caused enough damage."

"He knows where Nikolas is!"

"And he’s in no condition to tell! Now leave!"

"Not until I get answers! Where is Nikolas!"

"Stefan? Luke? I got a call from Audrey. What’s going on here?" Laura appears behind Luke, her arms crossed. Bobby and Tony had already taken a now groggy Lucky away into the observation room.

"I found Lucky and brought him home," Luke turned to his estranged wife. "Bobbie and Tony are looking at him now."

·  ·  "Oh my God!" She gasped. "And Nikolas? Did you find Nikolas?"
Luke looked away from Laura and at the glistening hospital floor. "I found Nikolas. But there was only room enough for two people. Helena was right behind them."

"What!!! You left my Nikolas at Helena’s mercy!!" Stefan blew.

"Luke please tell me that’s not true. Please tell me that you brought both of my sons home to me."

Luke swallowed. "I couldn’t Laura. There was only enough room in the helicopter for two people and Lucky needed medical attention right away."

"What? I knew you hated Nikolas but to just…"

"The kid insisted Laura! He practically threw Lucky into my arms and commanded me to get him out of there! Something about promising Lucky that Helena wouldn’t hurt him again!"

Laura couldn’t say anything. So she did the only thing she could do. She slapped her husband hard across the face. "You better pray that no harm comes to Nikolas or…"

"What about Lucky are do you even care about him anymore?"

"Lucky is in duress now because as I take it, he’s worried for his brother," Stefan crossed his arms.

"Stay out of this Vlad," Luke growled.

"Luke, Laura…good both of you are here," Bobbie enters the room and cleared her throat to get everyone’s attention.

"What is it Barbera Jean?" Luke asked.

Bobbie didn’t know how she was going to break the news of this recent discovery. Maybe she could wait until Stefan is out of the room. That way no Cassadine will be in reach of Luke’s murder’s hands.

"Bobbie?" Laura stood between the two men, much to Bobbie’s relief. "Tell us. What’s wrong with my baby."

"We’ve done a thorough examination of Lucky….what I’m about to tell you is quite devastating to hear. Luke promise me you’ll keep a cool head."

"What? Barbera just tell us. What did that witch do to my son."

"…There are definate signs of sexual activity…from all of Lucky’s bruises and other tell-tale signs…it was forced," Bobbie lost eye contact with her brother and sister in law. Laura’s eyes widen in disgust and horror. Stefan’s mouth dropped open in shock and dismay. And Luke…as expected went ballistic.

"WHAT!!!!"

"Oh my god," a soft gasp came from the entryway. Everyone turned to see Elizabeth who had heard Bobbie’s prognosis. d"Lucky…where is he?"

"Elizabeth darlin, why don’t you go down to the cafeteria and…"

"No Luke. Lucky needs me right now. He was there for me and now it’s my turn to be there for him. Now where is he? Can I see him?"

"He’s in the room just ahead but he’s sleeping. I don’t think it’d be a good idea to wake him," Bobbie warned.

"I won’t wake him up. I’ll just sit with him. Thank you," Elizabeth disappeared into the last room down the hall.

"There goes one of the strongest women I know," Luke sighed.

"She loves Lucky so much…Bobbie…are you sure that’s what happened to my son?"

"Positive Laura. I’m sorry….I wish I was wrong."

"I’m killing her!!! I’m killing her!" Luke began his ranting and raving again.

"Luke quiet! This is a hospital for goodness sake," Laura hissed.

"I have to get to Nikolas Spencer. Where is he?" Stefan growled.

"Who cares!" Luke turned on Stefan. "You Cassadines done hurt my boy for the last time! It’s about time one of you paid!"

"Luke!" Laura exclaimed.

"The kid’s a Cassadine Laura! Plain and simple! All they have done was hurt Lucky! Whatever Helena does to him he deserves!" Luke stormed out of the hospital, heading for his bar for a quick shot of whiskey.

"He didn’t mean that. He’s just distraught about Lucky," Laura turned to Stefan.

"Of course he meant it Lasha. Luke detests Nikolas and he detests that he’s a part of your life. Listen, I need to question Lucky as soon as he awakens. Can you contact me when that happens and Luke’s out of the way? It’s imperative that I find out…"

"Of course. I want both of my sons safe. I don’t care what Luke says," Laura nodded. "I’ll be in touch."

"Thank you," Stefan nodded and headed back to his office to wait.

*

One hour later, Lucky awoke to find Elizabeth setting in a chair fast asleep. Laura was standing at the window staring out, her mind on the whereabouts of her other son.

"Mom?" Lucky asked.

"You’re awake," Laura breathed in shock. "Lucky how are you feeling?" She goes to him immediately.

Lucky shrugged. "I don’t know. I want to know where Nikolas is? Did dad go back for him? Please tell me he did."

Laura regrettfully shook her head. "Your father refuses to lift a finger to help Nikolas."

"Why? Why does he have to be so damn selfish," Lucky glared at the door. "Can’t he see that I need Nikolas to be safe?"

"Your father can’t see past his hatred of the Cassadines right now Lucky…we all know what Helena did to you and that kind of intensified it for him," Laura took her son’s hand.

Lucky shook his head. "No. No no one can know…"

"Shhh honey. It’s not your fault," Laura pulled her son into her arms. "It’s all Helena. Not you."

"B-but I should have tried harder to get away from her…I should have fought harder…"

"Lucky you were trying to stay alive. There’s nothing wrong with that. The important thing now is that you are alive and safe. We’re not going to let anything hurt you again."

"But what about Nikolas?" Lucky pulled away from his mother. "Nikolas is all alone with her now…"

"Yes what about Nikolas Lucky!" Stefan waltzed into the room, his arms crossed.

Laura got to her feet. "Stefan not now…I’ll call you."

"No Laura. I need to know where Nikolas is and since Luke refuses to tell me I have no choice but to ask Lucky," Stefan pushed pass her. "Now Lucky, tell me where Nikolas is."

"Are you going to help him?" Lucky asked, not sure if he could trust Stefan.

Stefan nodded. "Yes. But in order to help him I need to know where he is."
"Don’t answer anything Lucky!" Luke entered the room. "Vlad, I thought I told you to stay away from my son!"

"And I told you not until I find out where Helena has Nikolas! Since you won’t tell me, I know Lucky will!"

"You two please, don’t argue in here," Laura pleaded.

"Lucky doesn’t know where the little prince is so I suggest you leave," Luke growled.

"Dad…" Lucky began.

"Not another word Lucky. Vlad can find Nikolas on his own without any help from you."

"What’s going on?" Elizabeth woke up.

"I want to tell him where Nikolas is! He’ll help Nikolas since you won’t!" Lucky glared at his father. "Nikolas is in one of Helena’s mansions in Cannaples Greece. That’s where she’s been holding me for the past couple of months and Nikolas was there for the past week. You have to save him. He saved me now it’s his turn," Lucky began to sob, covering his face in his hands.

"Lucky it’ll be alright. They’ll save him," Elizabeth went over to comfort her boyfriend.

"Happy now Cassadine?" Luke crossed his arms, glaring openly at his nemesis. "Now that you know where your little spawn is go find him and leave my family alone."

Stefan only nodded and glanced over at Lucky before darting out the door. "Both Nikolas and I thank you Lucky."

Lucky didn’t answer. He just kept his face buried in Elizabeth’s shoulder.

"I said leave," Luke growled.

"Laura I’ll call you when I get Nikolas to safety. I suggest you place guards on Lucky," With that said, Stefan leaves the room.

"The nerve of that guy," Luke grumbled.

"Luke shut up!" Laura glared at her husband. "No one cares about your stupid war with the Cassadines! You and Helena can kill each other for all I care! I just want my children to be safe! All of my children, Nikolas included! Until you can accept that, you’re not welcomed in here!"

"Laura…"
"Leave Luke," Laura pointed to the door. Taking one last look at his son, Luke only nodded before leaving the room to laura, Liz and Lucky.
