Lucky entered Kelly’s with a handful of white roses. His mind was on one thing and one thing only. Get to Elizabeth and sweep her off her feet. He takes a seat at the farthest corner of the restaurant facing the stairs. He was going to wait patiently for her to wake up and come downstairs.

"Liz isn’t here," Katie giggled standing in front of his table.

"And what makes you think I’m waiting for Elizabeth?"

"The fact that Elizabeth was floating on air when she came down this morning and you’re grinning from ear to ear," Katie places a hand on her hip. "So I take it last night went well."

"It was fantastic. We went to see Monster’s Inc. Then we went to my dad’s club and danced until our feet fell off. And the kiss…wow."

Katie laughed. "I’m glad to see you happy."

"So, tell me. Where did she go?"
"Deception. Something about a meeting with Laura. I think she’s going to be busy for a while."

"Oh," Lucky pouted just as Emily and Zander came in. Curious, the couple floated over to Lucky’s table.

"So who’s the flowers for?" Emily asked.

"Elizabeth, but she’s not here," Lucky sighed. "I think I’ll go to deception and wait for her."

"Wait a minute…are you guys back together?" Emily grinned, her voice quivering with excitement.

"Well…kind of," Lucky shifted in his seat.

"What do you mean by kind of? Either you are or you aren’t. Which is it?"

Lucky sighed and rolled his eyes. "We’re dating. We’re not 100% back to where we were but we’re going to try to work our way back there."

"Ahhh!" Emily squealed her excitement and threw her arms around Lucky. "I knew it! I knew that you two would get back together one way or another! I am so happy. Zander, isn’t this great?"

"Wonderful," Zander smiled, wrapping a arm around his girlfriend’s shoulder. "Now you can stop worrying about Lucky not having a love life."

"Emily!" Lucky exclaimed in shock. He didn’t know that his lovelife, or lack there of was a popular topic among Emily and Zander.

"Well I was voicing my concern. That’s all," Emily shrugged.

"Em, don’t take this the wrong way, but…concentrate on your own love life for now. If anything major happens, trust me, you’ll be the first to know," Lucky grinned.

"Watch it Spencer or you’ll insult me," Emily placed a hand on her hip.

"Not my intention. I better get out of here before I miss Elizabeth. See ya," Lucky kissed both Emily and Katie on the cheek and rushed out of the diner.

"You know,"Katie strokes her chin thoughtfully. "I’ve never seen Lucky this happy as long as I’ve known him."

"Well I have. When he’s with Liz," Emily happily sighed.

Elizabeth stepped out of Laura’s office exhausted from the brainstormming session. It was a early morning start and now she was ready for some food.

"Hey," Lucky stood up from the chair he’s been setting in for the past two hours, roses in hand. "I’ve been waiting for you."

"What are you doing here?" Elizabeth smiled, immediately going into his arms, kissing him litely.

"I wanted to give you these and see if you wanted to go to lunch. I know my mother’s meetings can last forever," Lucky playfully rolled his eyes.

"Lunch sounds wonderful. Believe it or not, I’m starving. I can even go for some of my cooking right now. What do you say to Eli’s?"

"Sounds great," Lucky nodded. They’re about to step into the elevator when Sonny Corinthoes steps out.

"Elizabeth?" the mobster stared. "I didn’t know you were in town. In fact, I thought you were in Paris with Jason? He was talking about being in love and never being so in love with anybody else…what are you doing here?"

"W-when did you talk to Jason?"

"Last week," Sonny stepped closer, noticing the strange gleam in Elizabeth’s eyes. "Hey are you ok?"

"I-I…I have to get out of here!" Elizabeth burst into tears and ran into the closeing elevator.

"What did I say?" Sonny looked confused.

"Uh…Jason left Elizabeth alone and broke in Italy. I got her back home. She hasn’t heard from Jason since," Lucky explained, starting for the elevator.

"Wait a minute…why would he do a thing like that?" Sonny was confused. In his book, you didn’t do that sort of thing to a woman. Never. At least be gentleman enough to make sure she’ll be ok. What would make Jason forget all he had taught him?
Lucky only had to say one word for Sonny to completely comprehend his friend’s behavior. "Robin."

"Oh," Realization dawned on Sonny as Lucky went after Elizabeth, who by then was far from the building.

He found her in her studio, pictures and brushes were strewn all over the place. Easels were knocked down and all pictures of Jason were torn to shreds. Lucky had never seen such a mess. And on the couch, sobbing into her hands was Elizabeth. Lucky sighed. He was wondering where all her anger went and when she was finally going to lash out.

"Elizabeth?" He tentatively approached her and took a seat at her side. Carefully he touched her shoulder and was surprised when she buried herself into his arms.

"I hate him Lucky! I hate him so much! Why did he do that to me? Why did he take everything away and then leave me with nothing in a strange country?!" Elizabeth sobbed.

"Shhh Elizabeth. It’s over. You’re home safe and sound. Shhh. I’m going to take care of you. You don’t have to be scareed anymore."

"I hope him and Robin rot in Paris," Elizabeth sat up, suddenly exhausted. She wiped away her tears and looked at Lucky. "Why is it you’re always near when I have a meltdown. Even after all this time and all that’s happened…"

"Because I love you. Plain and simple. You’re always there for people you love. No matter what," Lucky smiled, kissing away her remaining tears. "I’ll always be here for you. I promise."

Elizabeth smiled, glancing down at her hands that were now intertwined with Lucky’s. She reminded herself how lucky she was to have such a wonderful person in her life. "Thank you Lucky. Thank you for being you. Not even Helena could destroy that."

"So what do you say of the Grill?" Lucky suggested.

Elizabeth giggled, not at all surprised that Lucky knew how hungry she was. "That sounds great."
